Possible Medicinal Vegetable, name please?

I live in Calif, and we have a large population of Hmong people or Laoians. At a local farmers market they were selling this "vegetable", they called a mellon tomato.
The size of these minature "mellons" are 5/8" long on average,
pretty small.
Anyone know what this really is, latin name or other name?
The Hmong said is was very medicinal.
Anyone know?
