I am posting this for my sister, who lives in zone 5. She just bought a house and has asked me what this tree is. I asked for a picture of the flowers and she said they aren't flowers, they're seed pods... that she "just made it look pretty for the picture," whatever that means. She also said that the tree is dropping these like crazy. She says the tree is as tall as an oak, with a smooth trunk.
