Annual, reaches 4 ft., distinctive seed pods resembling lanterns, turning yellow with age, medium blue cup shaped outward facing flowers, readily self sows, medium green leaves, long lasting in arrangements. Grows in full sun. I can't get this website to post my picture, so I hope the above description will be enough to identify this plant

How about Nicandra physaloides...shoo-fly plant.
