seeking name for this red plant

My landlord is growing this beautiful red plant next to the house, but she is unaware of its name. I'm interested in cloning/propagating this plant if possible, but first want to research it's background. Can anyone ID? Boston area, fwiw.

Extremely easy from cuttings. Roots readily in water or growing medium.
