| These plants are growing in relatively fast moving water. Some are submeged, and some are floating on top in rafts. They have leaves with terminal leaflets to about 1 inch across, and much smaller lateral leaflets. They remind me of Nasturtium officinale leaves, but do not have flowers. |

| Watercress, same thing as Nasturtium officinale. Where you thinking about the Nasturium tropaeolum? They have flowers. |
| Here is our Watercress (Nasturtium officinale), which was blooming in May. The small-leaved species above surely isn't the same. |
| It looks like watercress to me. The shape of the leaves on the flowering stalks look thinner and more elongated than the regular spoon shape of watercress leaves. Remy |

| The leaves on the flowering stems of watercress are a different shape from the basal foliage. I immediately thought it was watercress but was not sure it grew in AR so didn't offer an opinion. |
| I'm having a dense day - sorry. So you are all saying that the plants in the three photos are the same, and that the stems just disappear after the plant's flowering period? |
| Yes - we are saying they are all the same plant - watercress. Many plants have different foliage on their flowering shoots from their basal foliage. It is listed as an invasive in some States. |

| You're lucky to have watercress so close. They are a good addition to any salad. |
