Ipomoea?

I posted a pic of this vine before it bloomed and it was ID'd as a I. cristulata. Now that it has bloomed I don't think that's what it is as the blooms are purple and about 2" across. The lower stem is also thick (1/2") and woody but I don't feel any tuber below the soil.

That looks like Ipomoea cairica. It is called Coastal Morning Glory, and sometimes Mile-a-minute Vine because of its invasive nature. Flowers are up to 3.5 inches across, with leaves palmately divided into 5 or 7 lobes.

I just found out that this is a Ipomoea transvaalensis, not cairica. They look pretty much identical.
