Native Groundcover

I've seen this species around golf course drainage ditches, and wondered what it was. I don't have a clue where to search for i.d. Plants are dense, on runners, and reroot at nodes. Leaves are on petioles to about 2 inches long, with blades from 0.5 to 1.25 inch across. The petioles meet the blades at the leaf's edge. I did not find any flowers or fruit this morning on the specimens checked.

I wonder if it might be Ranunculus ficaria.

If it's in active growth now, I don't think it would be Ranunculus ficaria which goes dormant in summer.

Dichondra?

Here is a link that might be useful: Dichondra repens

That looks like the right species, saltcedar. Thanks for the help, and for the link to a very informative site.
