This plant was grown from seed of salvia exserta which
it is not, it is not a salvia but it is in the same family, I am
having trouble getting an id for it, someone out there
must know what it is .

TIA

I have no ideas but the gurus here will have a much better chance of helping you if you include pics of the plant and leaves to give any and all clues for their sharp eyes.
Good luck.

I clicked the link, but it took me to the main flickr homepage.

Hmm, I can see the pic when I click the link (don't know the plant, though). If you enable sharing by HTML on Flickr then you can post the image here and will get more help that way.

And all my life I thought everything was upside-down "Down Under": apparently Australia should be named "Sideways Land" instead? Who knew!

(Sorry, annette68, but I couldn't resist. We get all these pictures with strange orientations: upside-down, top at the left, sometimes even top at the right.... Lazy trees, herbaceous plants standing on their heads, sometimes buildings defying gravity....)
