Spiky edged leaves, spiky seed pod, lavender blossom starting

This odd one popped up in a southern Maine vegetable garden, may have come in from some local horse manure used at the start of the season.
It's now about 3 feet tall, the photo shows the leaves, green spiny seed pod starting in the center and what looks like it may be a a vender blossom starting to unfurl.
Any ideas?
