What is this tree/shrub?

I planted a blueberry bush from HD in Dallas, Texas. Most of the plant seemed to die off, but this is what came up. It has leaf stems that go to a point like a 2" thorn. It was red during the fall. It has produced no berries. It is about 7' tall now.

It looks like a wild pear of some sort.

From the leaf shape probably a Callery pear, a nuisance plant in North America.
