Anyone know this plant?

This has come up every year for about 10 years, and I have pulled it up, cut it down or tried to kill it several different ways. This year I decided it wanted to live so badly I let it grow. It is 7 feet tall now.

The red blooms are a nearby begonia. I have another pic of it I will put in another post.

TIA

Sue

Here's the second photo:

(It's best to put all the info on a request in the same thread, since threads posted consecutively tend to wander apart as time goes on.)

I will bump this back up for you Sue. Sorry no answer yet. I don't have any suggestions.

You might post this (or a link to it) over on the trees forum.
