Not sure from those pictures, and don't know where you are, but...

Check out Ampelopsis arborea, Pepper Vine;
or Koelreuteria paniculata, Golden Rain Tree.

I'm not personally familiar with Pepper Vine, but I'd lean toward that one.

Golden Rain Tree seeds like crazy, if there's one around your yard it's probably that.

Oh how could I be so forgetful! Not laburnum, I meant koelreuteria paniculata, that's what I want this to be. I'm not sure if we have any next door, I know of a dozen several miles away on other streets. Those both look so similar on google. It IS one of those two. My location is California, Bay Area, East Bay. Zone 9B.

That's probably what it is, then.
