Is this small tree a wattle?

I was given this tree, supposedly a wattle but it has not flowered as yet. Now I am wondering what i have planted! Currently it is only 3 ft high but it is growing rapidly without any nurturing at all, so it is a tough one. Many thanks in advance

It does look like a wattle and presumably too young to flower.
You could google (endlessly) on leaves for SA acacia

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=acacia+south+australia+leaves&rlz=1C1CHMO_en-GBAU532AU532&espv=2&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ekT0U5DyA4e_uATo0oLQBw&ved=0CDsQsAQ&biw=1021&bih=881

Or you could go to this site for trying to match it on keys

http://www.flora.sa.gov.au/id_tool/acacias_sa.html

or you might simply send a pic to your botanical gardens and ask for help

It's definitely an Acacia, not a Eucalypt. Looks a bit like A. holosericea, but I don't know whether that one grows in SA. You've got about 600 or 700 species Australia wide to pick from.
