What? That's a bizarre thing to say, and I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion. This forum is for attempting to ID unknown plants of any type or size.

The seedling next to your sunflower might be black locust.

I'm leaning towards something in the cassia/senna family - considering that this is in Pakistanâ¦..

I would exclude Robinia pseudoacacia from your guesses. It has quite different cotyledon and true leaves have less amount of leaflets (usually 1-2) for that age.

but on the other hand.. since a lot of ???s are from garden newbs.. i want them to be fascinated by the garden.. so i give way more info than the name .. to try to hook them into gardening ...

I don't know much about the Sesbanias, but apparently some grow in Pakistan, so could that be a possibility also?

Here's an update. Since the past two days I've been noticing that at night time those small leaflets close up on their own like touch-me-not. See the photo.

mimosa/silk tree

So will this mimosa/silk tree hinder the growth of sunflower plant by taking away its nutrition? Do I pluck it out?
