I live in Brisbane Australia.

I have been left to take care of my mothers garden, and whilst she knows enough about plants to get us by, neither of us know what this plant is. I do not know anything about plants other than the fact that they require varying levels of sunlight, water and drainage. She does know that this bulb thing remains dormant when it does not have enough water.

Any help would be appreciated.
