but i am thinking trumpet vine... as the most horrible plant within this description .... lol.. i might surprise myself.. but would have expected you to have mentioned the trumpet like flowers...

It has big leaves that come from the vine.

That does not sound like trumpet vine to me ....

Anyway, good chance you have two different plants mixed together. A picture would be essential.

Perhaps a weeping Mulberry?

Do all the branches start at the same sort of height and the trunk is straight and bare?

i just couldnt think of any vine that erupts from a tree ...

the words sure dont mean much to us.. i hope OP can post a pic ...

so we can all smack ourselves in the forehead... when we find out the words described it perfectly ... lol

I was visualising a weeping tree too, deejaus. Maybe mulberry, maybe redbud. A picture is definitely needed.
