I was recently given some plants (vines) in a few pots. The person that gave them to me has them growing on some trees and they make a rather nice looking accent to the yard. They live on a creek and the vines washed in one year during a storm that brought in a lot of rain and flooded the yard. Consequently, none of us have any idea what they are.

Can anyone identify these vines? The ones I have were just transplanted and aren't doing so well but hopefully the photo gives a good enough idea of what they are.
