Anyone know what this is?

Some friends rescued this plant from an unattended office, and they would like to know what it is, so they can care for it correctly. I have no idea even what family it's in!

Thanks for helping.

I don't know what it is, but I wanted to thank both vtmandolin (for posting the picture) and jaynine (for the probably ID). I'd never seen a begonia with leaves like that before...so that's my first "new thing learned" for the day.
