Grass with bristles - not likely Setaria

These roadside plants were about 2 feet tall. Spikes had spikelets on short pedicels, as shown in the 2nd photo. Spikelets had about 20 red bristles underneath, a first glume about 0.3 mm long, a second glume about 3 mm long, and a single floret about 7 mm long. The lemmas and glumes were not awned.
