| Hello,
I'm an illustrator based in The Netherlands and I've just finished painting some illustrations that contain plants. I would like to name my illustrations using the real names of the plants I have drawn, but I don't know all the names. Could someone please help me? Some of the numbers appear twice, this is because I show two photos of the same plant. Any help will be appreciated! Even if you just know one name... Thanks so much in advance! |

| I saw this in the botanical garden of Barcelona, Spain. They are typical from hot areas, like the Mediterranean or California. |
|
| 1. Polygonum bistorta 2. Akebia quinata 5. Pelargonium sp. one of the scented leaved ones 6. Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (a sickly specimen) 7. Aloe sp. |

| Amazing!! Thanks so much for the fast response! What do you think I should do with the Kalanchoe? I have it in my office. I don't water it too much because I didn't think it needed much water... is this correct? Number 3 might also be sick. When I bought it, it had two pink flowers growing upwards. Any ideas of the name? |

| The three pot plants all look as if they need re-potting and then more light. You are right not to over-water. Once they are growing well they could also do with being trimmed to produce more growth lower down. The Kalanchoe would have been compact and flowering when first bought as a result of growers' techniques which I don't pretend to know. It's hard to get them looking like that again but if looked after they can re-flower but will be a larger more rangier plant. |

| Thank you for your advice! I will repot them. They do get a lot of light though and the Kalanchoe flowered in March, so I guess it won't be happening until next year again. Here's a photo of it in bloom. Thanks again! |

| I found out number 4 is Euphorbia Canariensis. |
