Please help Identify

Trying to identify this plant. It is growing wild in a open field, under a tree. It gets almost no morning sun but gets full evening sun.

The pods of some plants in that family are used in various crafts; if you know someone who weaves baskets or does other crafts, you might ask if they're interested in "devil's claw pods" -- or pods from a devil's claw relative.

For help in further research, try Proboscidea parviflora ssp. parviflora unless you are interested in lots of links to elephants. *wink, wink*
