Has anyone seen this marigold before?

This is a repost, hoping for some new insight. This plant was donated by a greenhouse (unlabeled) with an assortment of other plants and I have never seen a marigold like this before. I expect it is likely some form of T.erecta due to the plant height which is nearly 3 ft. Trying to determine if this is a hybrid or heirloom as someone else suggested. I find it hard to believe that such an interesting looking marigold would slip through the cracks, but I'm not sure where to even research such a thing to find its name. Hoping someone here can help or at least provide a good lead. Thanks in advance for your help!

I once grew Tagestes erecta 'Cempoalxochitl' that had blooms similar to your marigold.

Thank you, Jaynine! I think that could be it. From researching, seems that was the Aztec name given to it. It actually translates as "flower of the dead"
