| Hello again :)
I'm starting to garden at another place and we're curious to know if anyone can ID these plants. Thanks!! 1. 2. Are these berries edible? 3. 4. 5. 6. |
Follow-Up Postings:

| I believe #5 is either Campanula rapunculoides or Adenophora lilifolia. I think #3 is a Cornus sp. And the rest, I'll sit back and see if I've learned these plants from checking this forum 2x a day! |
| The first one looks like an Aster/Symphyotrichum. It may bloom this fall. I don't think #3 is Cornus because it has compound leaves (look closely) |
| Texasflip, you're so right on #3. So now I say peony. |
| 4=Phytolacca/Poke |
| Second one is Rhamnus cathartica. Not really edible (look up what cathartic means) |
| I can tell you that #3 looks just like my peonies and #4 is a (weed) pain in the butt! I have them everywhere and it's very hard to get rid of. If you pull them up when they're small it's easy. Once they get bigger than 3 feet, and I have some that are 8 feet and more, it's very difficult. The root is a tap which looks like a horseradish. Doesn't smell like one though. The birds love to eat the berries and then decorate your property and cars with this nice purple "decoration". |
