Also, Have this mystery plant? My mother-in-law had what she thought was a lilac tree get blown over by wind and this was growing next to it's base. I dug it up and planted it as it had roots. Can anyone tell if this is truly a lilac or something else. The mother plant blooms in spring and has very nice smelling lavender blooms.

The first one might be a shrubby dogwood, Cornus.

Yes, the second is a Nandina.

The first looks like Cornus racemosa, perhaps.
