Very common where? Where are these located?

Guessing you're in the Texas Hill Country. If so they're likely
to be Poverty Weed, (charming name huh?)Baccharis neglecta.
There are other species but that's common in this area.

Baccharris Neglecta may be it! I'm not positive yet, but it seems likely. Thanks!

It's located on my place in Burnet County, Texas

There's another Baccharris on the Gulf Coast that has leaves that are a couple of inches long. I've seen this one all over the place, even in Harris County, though! Thanks for the ID.
