A few months ago I dug out a small stump and filled the hole with some of my compost. Within a week or so several different plants started sprouting, including a massive, fruit-bearing pumpkin plant.

What I haven't been able to identify is this tall plant in the center. Any ideas? We've thrown a finite amount of fruits and vegetables into our compost so I'm leaning towards an avocado plant, but I'm not certain.
