Grass-like Species

These plants were 8 to 12 inches tall, with leaves to 1 inch long by 0.125 inch wide. They had 1 to 3 flowers in each of the leaf axils. Flowers were about 0.050 inch across, and had 5 petals with green stripes.

Flowers look like something you'd see in the Polygonaceae.

Thanks lycopus. That could be Polygonum erectum, which is very rare in this part of Arkansas.

I should know by now not to rely on Internet photos. After checking the key, my plant is definitely Polygonum tenue (Pleatleaf Knotweed), which has leaves with a furrow on each side of the midrib.
