Is this Silky Bush Clover- with blue flowers

I have seen plenty of white flowered Silky Bush Clover
Lespedeza cuneata. But today, I ran across this with blue splashed flowers. I can't find any reference to a bluish flower similar to Silky Bush Clover. Is this just an unusual form or common or somthing else?

RE: Is this Silky Bush Clover- with blue flowers

Our Lespedeza cuneata flowers start the season mostly white, then gradually gain bluish to purplish highlights with age. That is normal for plants in this area. That species is pretty easy to distinguish from others, because the leaves appear to have flattened tips from a distance, and have tiny mucronate tips when viewed close up. Some late-season plants have lots of color, while others have mostly white flowers. Your plant seems typical for the species.
