I`m searching for the identity of this plant that is growing in many places on the property. The leaves are in 3 opposite positions and the plants get 3-5 feet tall.

It's what they call an "A.D.Y.C." = Another Darn Yellow Composite. :)

That looks like Bradburia pilosa to me. Some sources list it as Chrysopsis pilosa, with the common name often shown as Soft Goldenaster.
