Hi

Can anyone help me ID this plant. I think it might be a camellia but the stems look like they might twine like a climber. the leaves are glossy dark green, obvate and come to a point, and the new growth is a lighter green.

Camellia japonica. Habit varies with cultivar, growing conditions. Growth is more willowy where long shoots are being produced in response to environment.

Does look like Camellia foliage but it's an odd (and expensive) choice for a window sill. Can you get a closer picture without getting arrested?

I'm wondering if these are actually Mandevillas. Sold here as tender summer bedding, but possibly overwintering in London. (This looks like a London window sill to me).
