Name these two plants in my new herb garden! Part 1

Hello,
We have recently moved into a house with a HUGE herb garden, and there are two plants here I can not work out.
I will post the pics in separate posts.
The big plant with the purple flower I am guessing is rubarb although the stalks aren't' red enough I don't think.
(Sorry I was unable to rotate the picture!)

Thanks, Claire

Yes it does too, know that I google it!
The couple who were previous owners were Italian, so I'm sure they would have used it in cooking all the time.
Mind you, I have FIVE huge ones!

Pluck a few of those flowers and eat them straight. They're delicious.

Awesome CaraRose, I will do!!
River_city I have attached another one I am trying to identify! At first I thought it was flowering tarragon (it is not), but perhaps it's just a daisy??
I am in Sydney Australia.
The prev owners planted amazing herbs and veges...we are very lucky!!
