What is this strange succulent?

This succulent was given to me. It has a rather large, hairy exotic bloom and the flower has a stench to it. It's so strangely beautiful! I just want to know what it is. The plant itself has no thorns and the newer shoots are almost velvety. The bloom starts out very bulbous and eventually opens to a large, hairy, stinky flower.
Thanks for your help!

It is a Stapelia. Yours is possibly Stapelia gigantea.

Cheers,
Dee.

It's stinky because it's pollinated by flies. And the big part of the flower are the sepals. The actual petals are the little maroon parts in the middle. It's a rather fun plant for sure. If I had one I would have everyone smell it just to see their reactions.

Thank you so much! Yep, that's definitely it. I do trick a lot of people in to smelling it. It's a fun plant for sure! I'm sharing it like crazy and running out of it now!!!!!
