No, it is Stiff goldenrod (Solidago rigida). Just not stiff in the shade I guess.

Even if you id a plant, it is helpful and interesting for others to leave your query and picture so the rest of us can learn new identities.

I am sure you are correct in your id but it does sometimes happen that posters say, 'don't worry, I've found it', and they've got it completely wrong. We can help them out if the picture stays up.

I removed it because I first said it wasn't goldenrod. It just isn't the usual plume variety found around here.
