 o
a mound-forming cactus

Someone sent me this cactus to ID. She has been growing this for 2 years, and claims this is a single cactus, not a mass of seedlings. Every year it sends up 200 yellow flowers, and it grows to fill the pot you put it in. I'm kind of stumped. Anyone recognizes?
