Do you know the name of this plant

I saw this plant at dinner tonight in southeast Michigan, love it. The leaves are green and varigate into purple/red and they are smooth. The flowers are purple and turn to cream as they age. It appears they spread from the root and stem. They don't have a smell that I can tell. It was in part sun part shade. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry the pic is sideways.
