| Hi, when we let our dog out back she zips over to this tree and eats this "fruit" that has dropped on the ground. Any idea what this is and if it might be harmful? Thanks! |

| It's Cornus kousa fruit. It's a type of dogwood tree. |

| And it's edible. At least for humans. I eat them occasionally: fairly mushy and bland, but something to do when walking around outside. |
