This "ground cover" is taking over my lawn! Does anyone know what it is? And how I can get them out of my lawn?

It may be some sort of Ranunculus.

Thanks for helping a vet, it seems as my battle is on my front lawn now, lol.

Ranunculus repens. Creeping buttercup

It would probably help your lawn to get rid of all the pine needles too.

RE: Help!

R repens likes moisture and compacted soils. It spreads by stolons, like a strawberry, and because it is low growing it avoids the mower blades. If you can improve the conditions for the grass the buttercup will be less of a problem. Looks as if you have a bramble seedling there too so a good scarifying and aeration might help.
