Can anyone help me to id this plant? I got this in my nephews back yard a couple of days ago. It was in a planter box that had fallen and broke. It has to be a perennial as nobody had taken care of his yard this year due to the fact that he had lost his parents. Very sad situation. But I brought a few clippings home with me. Any help is always greatly appreciated.

Rather than perennial, more likely to reseed every year in your situation.

Some morning glories are perennial. See this old thread:

Yours may turn out to be one of the perennials, or one which simply returns from its copious seeds.

I hope it is a perennial. Thank You.
