Plant no1 looks like Aeschynanthus zebrinus or similar. Plant no 2 looks like a very sickly Dieffenbachia. Looks like its had to much water, lack of light and is in far to big a pot, hence its roots are sitting cold. I would repot into a smaller pot and place in a warmer spot, but not in direct sulight.

I think the 2nd one may be Aglaonema, but agree with the advice, and not just moving to smaller pot, but make sure to remove old soil and replace with new. A very tough plant but won't tolerate too much sogginess. It looks like you're avoiding that by only wetting the middle. But without flushing the soil periodically by letting water flow through and out the drain hole in the bottom, toxins are buiding up in the soil and inhibiting this plants' growth. Understandable in an office, but will cause a problem over time if not addressed. Another option might be to keep the same pot, get new soil, and add more plants to the pot so the pot is filled with roots and use the moisture faster. Some pieces of Tradescantia zebrina or something with a similar growth habit would cover the soil surface and trail around the edges of the pot, for a much more pleasing overall appearance.

I have some sort of philodendron type thing in there with it, that I put in when I realized the pot was WAY too big. Originally when I planted it I thought it was going to fill out like a philo I didn't know it was going to grow upward. Either way this was my first ever plant and I see now that I made a lot of mistakes. Also, I don't just water in the middle :P haha, it just looks that way from being watered a few days ago, OH and there are little origami butterflies in there that I don't water over. The soil is old and probably retaining water strangely and there is certainly some sort of sodium build up. I do try to flush it when I water but...it's sort of clear that I need to repot the thing. Poor little lady.
