Help my identify this plant. Thank you
First of all i'm from Philippines and this tiny branch of the plant was given to me by a Chinese friend of mine and told me i should buy this plant, cause it's supposed to ward off bad spirits. the problem is i couldn't identify it on the web

we brought it to a local garden shop/ plant shop and the shop keeper there told me it's called "fu ying" or "pu ying" or something like that. and he added " silver......." something forgot sorry

The tiny branch is dark and rough to the touch. and the leaf is a bit glossy and at the back side of the leaf is colored somewhat greyish/silver ish..

also they say that it's cultivated in cool areas.
