| Usually this goes the other way around, right!? I'm raising my first mint plant and it seems to have an intruder. These random sprouts came up after 3 weeks of owning the plant. The day I brought it home I transplanted it into a brand new pot. Regular watering. It sits on the window sill indoors 24/7. But it is directly under a Dracaena.
From researching I think it's some sort of leafy grass? It's a single-leaf alternating growth. What is it and should I try to pull the new shoots up as they come? How do I eradicate it? I'm worried my mint will crowd itSELF out soon enough, I don't want another random grass/weed vying for space! Thanks for looking. :) Here is a top-down view: http://imgur.com/a6yj9 |

| Corn perhaps? That's especially likely if you have or had it near a bird feeder. |

| Your other pic. Doesn't really matter what it is if you don't want it in your pot. Just pull them out. |
|
| And I believe your mint needs more light. |

| Why do you say it needs more light, flora_uk? |
|
| Because of the length of stem between each leaf joint and the pale colour. |
