Name That Plant!

Indoor Plant ID help

I recently took over care of this poor indoor plant and I am unsure of how to nurse it back to health. There were dead leaves all over the stems, and many of the leaves are turning brown and/or have brown spots on them. Can
you help me figure out what kind of plant this is?

they will...

but i will note.. thats a lot of plant.. in not a lot of pot...

and i bet it hasnt ever been repotted ...

brown leaves is a failure of the potting media... to hold the requisite water needed for a plant to thrive...

follow up at the houseplant forum... in this regard ...

ps: the easy way to do it.. is to propagate some of the smaller tips.. and once they root .. plant them in a pot with some fresh media.. and get rid of the old monster .... sometimes trying to save these old beasts is not worth the effort .... and by doing it this way.. you actually end up.. with the same plant ...
