Which Betula nigra?

| These 3 were all tagged as B. nigra 'Dura-Heat' but it seems clear to me that one of these differs from the other two. Since it looks weird to me now, I'm thinking of adding 2 that match the smaller, fuller tree but I don't know exactly what variety it is. The 2 are taller, somewhat more weeping in nature. They also leaf out earlier and lose leaves earlier than the small tree. They also were plagued by river birch aphids to a greater extent than the smaller tree.
I hope this is enough information to help me know what varieties I actually have and thanks in advance for your help. |

| If the bark were a bit lighter and whiter--but it's hard to tell from the picture--I might suggest betula nigra 'Heritage'. |

| Here's a closer shot of the bark on the smaller tree. To my untrained eye it's very similar to the other two. But 'Heritage' is definitely a possibility. Thanks! |

| I googled 'Heritage' and found a nursery's video on YouTube comparing that variety to Dura -Heat. It definitely looks like those are the two I have but I had them reversed. I only ended up with one Dura -Heat (darn nursery! ) and the two taller ones are Heritage. So glad I found that as I would have ordered the wrong ones. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, garystpaul. |

You're welcome. The second picture does indeed look like Heritage. Gary |
