Definitely Catharanthus roseus, an annual bedding plant for most of the US.

I had a pink one reseed this years. It came up every year when I lived in central Florida.

Not periwinkle, but is a vinca - Vinca major

Going to disagree with the above ID :-) Doesn't have the same, viney growth habit of Vinca major nor are the flower shapes similar. Vinca major also doesn't come with a pink eye. I'm sure part of the confusion is the common names, but this is certainly Catharanthus roseus, annual vinca or Madagascar periwinkle.

Periwinkle (Vinca spp.) and Madagascar periwinkle (Catharanthus spp.) are both members of the Apocynaceae (Dogbane) family. Madagascar periwinkle was formerly classified as a Vinca (Vinca rosea) but is now classified in a separate genus, Catharanthus.
