Wetland plant ID

I have what appears to be a Dandelion ...on steroids but, not quite. I know there are some varieties but I have never seen one like this. The habitat is wetland, shallow soil to heavy clay, periodically / often inundated. The plant stands a bit over 3' tall and the spent seed-head looks dandelion. I did not see it in bloom. It was done by early October when I took the picture. I've looked to see if it is a variety of Sneezeweed but can't find a perfect match. Any help?

    It may be Erechtites hieracifolia.
