Prostrate Weed

This plant from today's walk was prostrate. It was about 14 inches across, with smooth stems and leaves. The leaves were widest at the middle, and roundly notched as shown. The stems were succulent, reddish for most of their length, light green toward the ends, and about 0.150 inch across. The photos were shot before daybreak, so I can't provide additional detail.

RE: Prostrate Weed

Yeah, I was looking at Chenopodium glaucum before I posted, but it didn't have those notched leaves.

There's also a Pigweed (Amaranthus) with notched leaf tips, but I don't remember which one.

A. blitum

Maybe this one?

Second one down.

Here is a link that might be useful: Amaranthus blitum

Thanks Saltcedar. That looks like the right species. I'm thinking that A. blitum ssp. emarginatus fits, which would be unexpected in this part of the country.
