strange plant in Vermont

I was hoping to find the name of this plant. I was thinking it's like a grape vine, but I know grapes, and it isn't. Those berry look like grapes, but it does not have a woody stem like a real grape vine.

Yes, Phytolacca Americana - pokeweed. Native US plant with wildlife value. Can be aggressive in the garden & yard.

To get rid of it, you need to remove or kill the root.

Those people most of liked it, it was growing like they were cultivating it. I read on wikipedia poke weed can be grown ornamentally for the colorful berries.
