Any idea what this might be?

Hi, all! Found this growing in a shaded area of a public garden. Plant stood 24-30 inches in height. I believe it had white blooms in the spring, but have not been able to locate those photos as yet. This photo was taken in late September. Thanks for your help!

I believe it's Disporum flavens.
Here's a photo taken today from my garden.

Oh, that is certainly it. Now I know why I couldn't locate the pics of the white flower... they were in fact nodding yellow blooms. Any idea if it self seeds? The one plant I spotted seemed to be a loner. Much appreciated!

It spreads by rhizomes. Not sure if it will self sow.
