Name That Plant!

I saw this plant growing locally at the edge of the woods. I didn't get a picture of the plant itself but it had leaves about the size and shape of a youpon holly with thorns about the size of a rose and orange fruits about the size of a golf ball. Does anyone know what it is?

It is a citrus relative, often used as rootstock for edible citrus. Some sqeeze juice of trifoliate orange, add lots o sugar and water. But there are bitter, off-tasting oils to contend with.

Others just throw the fruits at things! LOL!

LOL Dave!!! I ended up throwing them down our slanted parking lot to see how far they would roll. When they stopped, I then ran them over with my windows down to hear them squish. I need help lolol

LOL! Yes, my 4-yr-old daughter's favorite thing is to throw Black walnuts down our street and see how far they roll.

If we're lucky we see a car drive over them.
