I got these seedlings growing all over the lawn where the turf if weak. I am trying to figure out what these will grow into? Should I leave them alone or zap them with round up... I leave horseherb and clover alone, everything else has to go. Thanks!

after looking at several pictures on internet and looking at several seedlings, it does look very much like Henbit - thanks! The funny thing is I don't have any Henbit plants in the lawn, but these seedlings are all over the place. Now I am trying to figure out if I should leave them alone - how bad do they look in a lawn?

Whatever you do, don't use roundup in your lawn unless you want to kill the grass to. There are other herbicides that will kill the taprooted plants and not the grass.

These are Winter annuals so they're seedlings from last years plants. They tend to die off in late Spring. The longer they are allowed to reseed they more problematic they are.
